Description

Networking Essentials teaches networking based on the environments many students encounter in daily life, including small office and home office networks. This course covers a broad range of topics that will prepare learners with essential networking skills, whether you are a student early in your career or an existing professional looking to gain additional knowledge of the networking domain. The course provides an engaging, self-paced learning experience using Packet Tracer simulation, interactive activities, and learning with your own devices at home.

 

You'll learn these core skills:

  • Getting online and hone networking basics
  • Network protocols and architecture, including the layers of the OSI model and routing between networks
  • Data communications and network services, including DHCP addressing and IPv4/IPv6 address management
  • Designing and building simple networks, including a home network
  • Introduction to Cisco equipment, including building and troubleshooting Cisco networks
