The CISCO Learn-a-thon is condensed learning environment where students participate and earn digital badges to assist with their progression towards a career in computer sciences and Cyber Security.

A variety of computer science and IT based careers require an understanding of CISCO platforms. Many who work in the industry highly value CISCO micro-credentials, and the Learn-a-thon is a great way to progress a student on their learning pathway.

Who should participate?

The Learn-a-thon is open to any student who:

• are in Years 9 – 12
• has an interest in a career in Cyber Security
• has an interest in Computer Science
• has general computer knowledge

How is the Learn-a-thon conducted?

• The Learn-a-thon is an online course accessed via the CISCO Network Academy website portal.
• Students can undertake the self-paced 15 hour course either as an extra-curricular, with support sessions at school from Staff.
• Each school will set their own parameters for how to conduct the Learn-a-thon which best suits them, as long as it is in the Learn-a-thon date window. 

Upon successful completion students will earn a Digital Badge
