Match Yourself to Job Opportunities

by using our Talent Bridge Matching Engine

We have a tool for you to use—a connector between you, a Cisco Networking Academy student, and job opportunities across the Cisco network of partners around the world. It is unique, in that, it is the only one focused on helping Networking Academy students with this connection. Our Networking Academy Talent Bridge’s Matching Engine platform helps you quickly find job opportunities in networking, programming, security, sales, and more in over 180 countries.

This free resource matches you to job opportunities based on employer designated criteria—location, education, experience, and certifications. Regardless of where you are on your learning journey, you can quickly assess or apply for opportunities available to you. This includes internships, entry level jobs, or more advanced positions with stringent skills requirements.

Employers are Looking for You

Each of our employers that are using the platform, have intentionally joined the Matching Engine to recruit Networking Academy students to join their teams.

In addition to Cisco and Cisco Meraki, over 700 channel partners and distributors are hiring on the Matching Engine. These employers include CDW, Ingram Micro, Booze Allen Hamilton, Dimension Data, and many more.

Access the Tool

Networking Academy students and alumni, who are 18 years or older, are eligible to register on the platform. Simply login with your NetAcad.com credentials used to access your courses. On your first visit, you will be prompted to complete your profile. This process usually takes about 10 minutes to complete. And as you build upon your education and experiences, come back and update it, so that you are matched to the most relevant opportunities. You can also check out our friendly chat bot, Keikho, who displays your most recent job matches, events in your region, and answers support questions.

Tips for Success

Like any tool you use, it is only as good as the user. Make sure you optimize your experience and chances at getting interviewed and hired. We have six tips to help you be successful:

  1. Fill out your profile on the Matching Engine fully.
  2. For each application, customize your resume – do NOT use the basic resume.
  3. Include a link to your LinkedIn profile; many recruiters will look you up before making a decision on calling you in for an interview.
  4. Complete your LinkedIn profile fully; when you submit your application, recruiters might reference your profile to make their decision on whether or not you would be their ideal candidate. Be sure to add “Cisco Networking Academy” to your Education section.
  5. If you can spare 8 hours, we encourage you to take our Career Preparation Workshop. It will help you dive deeper into becoming more job-ready and has a lot of valuable advice.
  6. Watch a webinar that dives into using the tool and offers detailed advice, look below for the link to the Connecting to Jobs Webinar.
